Homemade Pizza!
Who doesn't love pizza? Me! Lol, to be honest I'm not a huge pizza lover, but for some reason, when I smell or see others with it, I decide to jump on the bandwagon. Though I am technically not suppose to eat pizza, due to a dairy intolerance, I find it hard to resist. When I discovered a lactose-free cheese at Sprout Farmer's Market, I knew it was time for me to make my own pizza. It ended up being one of the simplest meals I've ever made. Let's get started!
Crust:
The crust was made from a whole wheat dough that I purchased from Trader Joe's. The dough came in a ball and all I had to do was flatten it and add my toppings.
Sauce:
Similar to the crust, I cheated on the sauce. I did not make the sauce from scratch. I simply purchased pizza sauce from Kroger. Choose a sauce you like or pull out some whole tomatoes and prepare your own sauce. I chose to save time and purchase my sauce.
Toppings:
I grabbed a few random veggies from my fridge and added a layer of diced squash, mushrooms, olives, and spinach on top of the sauce. Oops!. I actually added a layer of cheese before the veggies and another layer of cheese after. Add a little pepper and oregano and toss it into the oven at 350 degree.
Directions:
1. Flatten dough
2. Add sauce
3 Add a layer of cheese, then veggies, then another layer of cheese
5. Sprinkle pepper and oregano and added to the oven at about 350 degrees for about 15-20 min.
That's pretty much it. It was a fairly simple meal and it was delicious. Enjoy!
